This red-brick riverside palace was one of Henry VIII's favourite residences where he often played 'real' tennis or jousted. Five of his wives lived here and the ghosts of two of them are said to haunt the palace! The beautiful gardens are similar to those at Versailles.

Royal Apartments in the Queens' House now restored to its 17th century glory and see the Cutty Sark the last rigged sailing clipper on
the river-front. At Greenwich, you'll also find the historic Naval College, and the massive Millennium Dome.

rare tapestries. In the gardens is the surviving part of the Royal Palace (1497) where Elizabeth I spent much of her childhood.
